TERMS OF REFERENCES

1 - To conduct health systems research to define the optimal working conditions of primary care providers in order to respond better td people's health needs and to develop collaborative activities with health authorities and professional associations accordingly. This will be accomplished locally. It will also be promoted nationally and internationally.

2 - To promote community-oriented and community-based medical education as well as problem-based learning approaches in training health personnel in countries of the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

3 - To act as a Regional resource to train health personnel teachers in the community-oriented and problem-based learning approaches. Also train them in the field of student assessment and program evaluation.

4 - To train health personnel in the field of management and leadership.
